“Eros and Thanatos”
Expressionist, libidinous and exuberant, the work of Yolanda Dorda embodies in this duo the drive of Eros as opposed to the cold, dissident and sombre character that in this case identifies the work of Roberto González Fernández with Thanatos. The drive for life versus the drive for death. The erotic charge of Dorda’s works contrasts with the apocalyptic atmosphere that Roberto González Fernández imprints on these works, recreated from the horror that the Ukrainian War produced in the artist.
