“Meetings with remarkable trees”
Painting, photography, video, poetry, poetry, music, dance… capturing the experience, the unavoidable coexistence with a massive, structuring, vital, continuous process: the cycle of seasonal metamorphoses. Spring, summer, autumn, winter, spring… the wheel of energy transformations condensed in the slow and organic trope of the tree. ! Extraordinary trees await in the depths of the forest as milestones of connection with an ever overflowing, ever terrifying roughness in its raw beauty and overwhelming mystery.
PABLO ORZA (Zamora, 1971) Based in the rural environment near Santiago, Pablo Orza is a multifaceted artist if ever there was one, his work synthesises a universe of his own where nature, the human and the magical merge in the different creative processes, marked by constant experimentation in multiple media and formats, from painting, installation or video performance to poetry or music. His current work is closely related to seasonal changes, adapting to the different life cycles that accompany these changes.
His awareness of belonging to the place and the moment he inhabits is reflected in the transversal character of his work, where the exoteric and the visceral, the telluric and the metaphysical, the ancestral and the innovative, boldly coexist in a sort of variables that invite us to participate in a singular and captivating poetics.
